i've tried to learn coding a lot over the years. i started with scratch, like a lot of kids did. i have a few of those saved still (which i will not be sharing).
after scratch, i learned to write in batch. i could make simple text-based rpgs with little variance. they rarely included ascii art (which i stole because i was a dumb kid lol). as i got older, they started to include random encounters, actual character stat progression, etc. it was sick.
when i started college, i took an 'intro to programming' course that taught basic python. i flunked out. i also tried learning c++, html, css, and engines like unity. i was trash at all of them.
now i'm here! still no real experience with coding, but i'm learning how to make a website. it's exciting!! i love little online communities. when i was a teen, tumblr was that space for me. i know people drone on about this, but the internet really has become so corporate.
i want to build a space that's cool. a website that people come to just to chill out. i am obsessed with virtual spaces and life-sim games, and i always thought the appeal of an always-on website that you could either always leave open, or just close and come back to, was amazing. obviously, this website is not that. maybe one day?
this is where all of my blog posts rest. feel free to peek.
